- My user id is already taken, what should I do?
This means that your email address has already been used to create an account on
ITJobCafe.com. Enter your email address on the
Forgot Password page to receive your login information.
- Why doesn't my email address work when I try to register?
When you create an account on ITJobCafe.com you need to enter your entire email
address. So enter juan@123abc.com and not just juan. Also your email
address shouldn't contain any spaces.
- What do I do if I forget my user id/password?
You should go to the
Forgot Password page and enter your email address. If you have changed email accounts
since creating your account, you can create a
new account. There is no limit on the number of ITJobCafe.com accounts you
can have.
- How do I change my account information?
Once you have logged into ITJobCafe.com, you can change your account information
by clicking on the Edit button link on the
My Account tab.
- Can I upload my resume to ITJobCafe.com?
Yes, you can upload a resume that's in Microsoft Word format at the time of registration.
- How do I search for jobs?
You should click on the Job
Search menu at the top of the page. From the Job Search> page you can find
jobs that match your interests based upon keywords, city/state.
- What are keywords?
Keywords are specific words or phrases that are used to search for job. A search
looks for these words in job postings and if it finds them, pulls it up for a user
to take a look at, just the same way you do research on the Internet. The more keywords
that are used, the more closely the job will match to what you're really looking
for. For example, if you type the word 'sales' into a search, you'll get literally
thousands of results back at you. But if you type the words 'sales , marketing management',
you're going to get much fewer and much more useful results. To search for an exact
phrase, keywords must have quotation marks around the phrase. Example: To search
for postings containing an exact phrase "customer service representative",
you can type the exact phrase, and select Match Type as ALL, as your search criteria.
- Can I search by geographical area?
Yes, you can search for jobs by city and state. The
Job Search page gives you the option to find jobs located in a given city
and/or state.
- Why didn't my search results match my
keywords?
The first thing to do is to make sure your keywords are spelled correctly. If your
search returned few or no results, try using broader keywords. If your search returned
too many results, try using more specific keywords or adding ',' between them. For
example instead of 'sales management' try 'sales , management'.
- How often should I check ITJobCafe.com
for new jobs?
New jobs are posted on ITJobCafe.com daily. Using the
Advanced Job Search you can find those jobs posted in the past several days.
If you Create an
Account on ITJobCafe.com you can create email alerts to have jobs that match
your criteria mailed to you daily.
- How do I Save my Search Criteria?
Save Search Agent is a new option provided for you to get the jobs automatically to your inbox based on Search criteria Saved.
You can save the search criteria by using the link Advanced Job Search.
Choose the options for the search criteria and click on the Save Search agent then it will be navigated to the New Search Agent.
For saving the search criteria you have to login as a IT Professional.
- Is the newsletter free?
The ITJobCafe.com newsletters are free for anyone who wishes to sign up. The ITJobCafe.com
newsletter contains career advice geared toward IT professionals, new job opportunities
and information on companies focused on diversity.
- How do I subscribe to the newsletter?
You can check the option at time of registration to subscribe or you acn modify
your account details by clicking on Edit button and change the subsciption option.
- How do I unsubscribe from the newsletter?
You can unsubscribe from the ITJobCafe.com newsletter by un checking the subscribe
to News letter in your Account Details by clicking on Edit Button in My Account
Tab.

- How do I login?
You can login by selecting Login from the Member Login menu at the top
of the page.
- What do I do if I forget my user id/password?
You should go to the Forgot Password page
and enter your email address.
- How do I post a job?
After you Login to the employer's section, you should then select the
Post Jobs option in
the Employers menu at the top of the page
- How long does my job posting stay active?
Your job slot is good for one year from date of purchase. Once you post a job
it stays active for 30 days.
- Can I include more than one job location in my posting?
Unfortunately you can only choose one city/state when posting your job.
- How can I manage my job postings?
After you Login to the employer's section, click on the
My Jobs link in My Account tab.
From there you can edit, upgrade, and refresh jobs.
- How do I access/search the resume database?
After you Login to the employer's section, you can click on the
Search Resumes tab.
- Can I send resumes to some one else even if I'm posting the position?
No, you can not.
- How do I change my company profile?
After you Login to the employer's section, you can select the
Modify Button .
- How do I add subrecruiters?
After you Login to the employer's section as the master recruiter, you can select
the Add New User link.
The master recruiter is the account that was created when the first person registers on behalf of the company.
- How do I change my contact information?
After you Login to the employer's section, you can select the "Modify " button in My Account tab.
- How do I purchase Ad Campaigns?
Please check the advertisers section in the
Advetisement page for various Ad Campaign details.

To enable cookies check your browser's documentation.
- Why do I have to log back in after I go away from my computer for a time?
After a period of time you are automatically logged out as a security measure.
It prevents someone else from sitting at the computer after you leave and
accessing your account information.
