Administers and maintains internal and external servers to ensure
maximum availability in a production environment. Environment is
Solaris/AIX and Linux. - Provides hardware and software support as needed. - Maintains computer system reliability and coordinate upgrades and maintenance for all sites. - Conducts performance tuning, backup and recovery procedures, disaster recovery and system documentation - Troubleshoots systems issues and coordinates resolutions in a proactive manner. - Monitors computer system capacity and utilization and recommends appropriate upgrades as required - Maintains UNIX operating systems patches and upgrades as required. - Coordinates and performs new server hardware installations. - Maintains a regular operating schedule including system backups, job schedules, and operations alerts. - Knowledge of techniques, programs, programming languages, and database environments, which may include: IBM AIX, Sun Solaris 10, Veritas, Perl, Shell Scripting, Network Troubleshooting, DNS, Korn Shell,etc..
