One of our strategic clients located in Jersey City, NJ is currently looking to fill the Contract position of Sr. Developer.

We are currently seeking a Consultant to work as a Sr. Developer in Custom Technology Team.

As part of Custom Technology Development Team, this position requires a balanced mix of thought-leadership, highly developed hands-on skills and technical focus

TECHNICAL KNOWLEDGE/SKILLS REQUIREMENTS:

Bachelors Degree in Computer Science or related discipline with a higher degree preferred
9+ years of IT experience with the last 5 years in an Senior development and/or Technical Lead with hands on development role in a financial services firm
Must be a top technical performer with a broad generalist perspective supported by deep technical competence
Must have applications design and development experience in high-volume transactional applications with expert-level skills in C/C++/JAVA technologies *V Applications development stack and must have worked on DOJO/JSF
Exemplary general IT knowledge (applications development, testing, deployment, operations, documentation, standards, best practices, security, hardware, networking, OS, DBMS, middleware, etc.)
Proven object oriented analysis and design (OOAD) skills, OR-Mapping, XML, SOA, Messaging (MQ/JMS)
Experience with formal SDLC/project management methodologies
Experience with different SDLC approaches (CMM, RUP, XP, etc.) and working with Offshore teams
Experience with Mainframe Architecture will be a plus.

For your role in working closely with technical architects and Offshore development team and review of Design and Code, you should demonstrate:
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Effective professional relationship building skills
