Position: DB2 Programmer with Z/OS (DB2 version 8 ) in Baltimore MD Duration: Fulltime Location: Baltimore MD
Job Description:
Task Objective The objective of this task is to provide DB2 systems programming and performance monitoring and reporting support for SSA*s integration, training, acceptance, and production life cycles. The infrastructure that must be maintained includes: DB2 subsystem across four life cycle environments, the installation and maintenance of software packages such as CA-Unicenter, Omegamon and QMF. The highest responsibility will be performance trending and reporting for upper management. The goal being to use the trending to possibly identity and correct degrading performance before it becomes critical.
* Should have DB2 Data Sharing experience, * Experience with DB2 Platinum tools, * SMP/E experience and DB2 version 8 experience. * Experience should include installing z/OS 1.9, DB2 7/8/9, SMP/E, as well as implementation and customization of OAM, QMF, DB2 Administration Tools and WebSphere 6.1 on zSeries. * Support a z/OS environment that runs DB2 is not the same as installing and maintaining DB2 itself.
