Title: Digital Design Engineer
Location: San Diego, CA - 92128
Duration: 6 months
Pay Rate: $38/hr - $43/hour
Shift: 1st shift
Workweek: 9/80
Job Description:
1. Independent Digital board designer needed to design and support new hardware design, modifications and lab check-out to advanced communication systems; high speed board design using the latest EDA tools (Mentor) and FPGA, DSP, and DDR2 interfacing using commercial parts to create high density boards.
2. Perform timing analysis at the board level, signal crosstalk analysis, and parts derating.
3. Able to work with minimal supervision.
4. Able to integrate and troubleshoot hardware into the systems level.
5. Able to support hardware demonstrations at customer sites.
Job Requirements:
1. BSEE and 5-8 years of experience. Knowledge of leading edge commercial digital technologies is required.
2. Experience with some or all following design tools is desired.
3. Mentor Graphics, XILINX, Altera, and VHDL. Familiarity with JTAG, C++, and LabView is desirable.
4. Familiarity with RF transceiver and PA designs is a plus.
5. Ability to obtain Secret/SAR clearance
