Position: Siebel Conversion Lead/ Manager/ Siebel Architect Duration: 4 months Contract or contract to hire Location: Santa Clara, CA Start Date: ASAP
Looking for a conversion lead for a large scale CRM project implementation. This project will deliver the next generation of business applications in order to support the company*s objective to scale its processes now and for the future.
Must know data conversions/data quality/etc in a Siebel environment well, knows MDM/Analytics concepts Must have strong leadership presence. This person needs to have the technical chops to know what is going on, make decisions, and determine the true severity of issues, but they absolutely have to be able to lead a team, present to senior level folks (e.g., boil up the details into the pertinent salient points), manage a disparate team of technical and functional staff (data stewards, boundary owners, etc).
Siebel implementation is already nearing go live (tentatively scheduled for Feb). Need someone who will be able to deal with wrapping up data related defects, data validation, data quality, & getting this over the finish line.
The Conversion Lead will manage a cross-functional team to oversee all process and technology activities to extract source data from a system of record and transform, enrich load and reconcile the data into a target destination system(s) (primarily Siebel).
The Conversion Lead will be working with the following: * various business functions in co-ordinating the data conversion related activities * IT teams (both in-house and vendor) for coordination * cut-over team in reflecting the conversion activities * test management team to understand the data conversion needs * triage and manage data conversion related defects coming out from both mock conversion cycles and testing cycles * coordinate mock conversion test validation cycles with business and IT players * preparing for the mock conversion events * coordinating the data preparation for use in mock conversion cycles * track the status on data conversions and report into PMO, working with IT leads * participate in various roles in command center * be the mouth-piece for all data conversion related activities as it relates to the program * hold data conversion status calls, on a periodic basis * conduct one-on-one meetings with data conversion leads while aligning and helping their activities * conduct/participate the deep-dive sessions on topics of interest to data conversions * work with IT grass-roots folks for clarity and coordination * liaison with data stewards from data conversion activities
KEY DESIRED SKILLS: * Background in conversion methodologies and industry best practices. * Ability to effectively to develop sound conversion plans and execute them successfully * Experience in mentoring and providing guidance on conversions to key stake holders, senior management and team members. * Review business requirements and prepare conversion plans and related documents in collaboration with IT and Process Tracks. * Manage Defect Management process and effectively disposition defects accordingly during and at the end of each conversion event. * Ability to work with business user stakeholders to explore and refine conversion requirements. * Ability to work with other IT teams in a large-scale project environment.
