We have a one year plus contract opportunity with our direct client, a top company in a growing industry. The position is located in Charlotte, NC and pay is up to $68/hr W-2 depending upon relevant skills and experience. Project Manager responsible for effectively managing IT projects from initiation through close out. Project manager will be responsible for managing IT Delivery solutions, which could include product evaluations, vendor management, development of IT solutions, budget management, risk management, benefit analysis which may include total cost of ownership, etc. *Must have experience with app dev projects not operations, infrastructure etc. Candidates need to have experience with *Application Delivery* project management, which should include experience with off the shelf packages selection as well as custom development. *Experience with the following tools are also required - MS Project, Visio, Word. Must be strong self starter, assertive individual with good communication skills.
Competency / Experience Desired
1. Project Management skills (8+ years experience) focused on Application Development and System Integration (as opposed to infrastructure or PMO responsibilities)
2. IT Solution Delivery Life Cycle - Proven track record in managing application development projects through a defined systems life-cycle methodology.
3. Strong Facilitation, Influence, Leadership, Negotiation and Communication Skills
4. Understands Technical IT Systems and high level architectural solutions
5. Skilled in project financial management including planning, budgeting, forecasting and monitoring and reporting actuals to plan
6. Skilled in vendor evaluation and selection for products and services including procurement activities
7. Skilled in resource planning, resource allocation and resource management
8. Experienced in managing diverse, virtual teams and third party vendors
9. Experience in reviewing the work of others including internal and external (i.e vendors) resources.
10. Experience in coordinating the work of project team members
11. Strong skills in Microsoft Project, Visio, MS Office
12. Skilled in Business Case Development
