Position: Certified Lotus Notes Architect/Subject Matter Expert (SME)
Duration: 15 months
Location: Washington, DC
Job Description:
B. SCOPE OF WORK
The contractor shall provide assistance in achieving the primary objectives of the DoJ system.
A phased, modular approach shall be utilized to accomplish the objectives. The two primary tasks are:
B.1 Task 1 * Application Development
B1.1 Phase I: Development
Step 1 - Create a functional analysis of the task requirements
Step 2 - Create a project plan for the development
Step 3 - Program Lotus Notes to accomplish the desired functional tasks
Step 4 * Perform initial testing with guidance from the requesting office
B1.2 Phase II: User Acceptance Testing
Step - Create guidelines for User Acceptance testing
Step 2 - Assist the requester in executing and evaluating the testing
Step 3 - Incorporate any and all recommendation as a result of testing
B1.3 Phase III: Documentation and Deployment
Step 1- Develop System Development Life Cycle documentation
Step 2- Assist the requester in conducting user training sessions
Step 3- Assist the requester in the deployment of the new application
B.2 Task 2 * Operations and Maintenance of DSS system
B2.1 Phase 1 * Operations
Step * 1 The vendor shall provide Level 3 and 4 assistance to the client
Helpdesk as needed.
Step - 2 The vendor shall assist in the development efforts of new and or additional functionality of existing Domino databases.
Step * 3 The vendor shall provide design assistance to the client development staff.
Step * 4 The vendor shall assist the client staff with the updating and development of Certification and Accreditation documentation as needed.
B2.2 Phase 2 * Maintenance
Step - 1 The vendor shall inform the Government Task Manager (GTM) with recommendations and - 3 - specific project plans concerning any and all Lotus Domino and Lotus Notes patches and upgrades as identified by the manufacturer.
Step * 2 The vendor shall coordinate with the client Infrastructure Group testing and acceptance of all upgrades and patches to the server Operating Systems.
Step * 3 The vendor shall monitor the performance of the Domino Environment.
Step * 4 The vendor shall assist the client security staff in the monitoring and configuration of all security elements of the Domino environment.
Subject Matter Expert (SME) Level Enterprise Architect
(SME RELATED) ACTS AS A RECOGNIZED TECHNICAL EXPERT
* Functions as the highest-level individual contributor in at least one technical area
* Utilizes expertise in business management practices, industry requirements and information technology disciplines to develop technical and/or business solutions to client problems
* Has a high level of diverse technical and industry experience related to a specific skill set. Typically has specialization in a particular technology or business application.
* Keeps abreast of technological developments and industry trends.
(ARCHITECT)
* Establishes system information requirements using analysis of the information engineer(s) in the development of enterprise-wide or large scale information systems
* Designs architecture to include the software, hardware, and communications to support the total requirements as well as provide for present and future cross-functional requirements and interfaces
* As appropriate, ensures these systems are compatible and in compliance with the standards for open systems architectures, the Open Systems Interconnection (OSI) and International Standards Organization (ISO) reference models, and profiles of standards - such as Institute of Electrical and Electronic Engineers (IEEE) Open Systems Environment (OSE) reference model - as they apply to the implementation and specification of Information Management (IM) solution of the application platform, across the application program interface (API), and the external environment/software application
* Evaluates analytically and systematically problems of work flows, organization, and planning and develops appropriate corrective action
* Provides daily supervision and direction to staff.
Requires minimum of 12 years technical experience and Master degree (or equivalent); additional training and/or certifications are desirable.
