Position Summary:

Under the direction of the Assistant Director for Development & Applications, the Database and System Administrator will provide databasemanagement and support for the College's Banner ERP (Enterprise ResourcePlanning) system which relies on Oracle and Linux systems.

Major technical duties include installation, implementation, and upgrade ofBanner's Oracle database and accompanying application software, monitoring andtuning of system performance, establishing user access controls and controllingdatabase security, defining new or modifying existing database tables, andother configuration and planning.

The Database and System Administrator will perform complex analysis,programming, and implementation of SQL , shell, and other scripts. The Databaseand System Administrator will further provide program support of otherapplications written in PHP , Groovy, and Java and hosted on various Weblogic,Wordpress, and Liferay platforms.

Education Requirements:

Requires a minimum of a bachelor's degree in IT/Computer Science or adirectly related field.

Experience/Qualifications Requirements:

Requires a minimum of four (4) years of experience in Oracle DatabaseAdministration. Other experience required includes systems analysis, andprogramming with PHP , Groovy, Java, and SQL .

Preferred Qualification:

Oracle Certified Professional Preferred
