Position Summary:

Under the direction of the Director for Information Technology, the Database and System Administrator will provide database management and support for the College's Banner ERP (Enterprise Resource Planning) system which relies on Oracle and Linux systems.

Major technical duties include installation, implementation, and upgrade of Banner's Oracle database and accompanying application software, monitoring and tuning of system performance, establishing user access controls and controlling database security, defining new or modifying existing database tables, and other configuration and planning.

The Banner DBA will perform complex analysis, programming, and implementation of SQL , shell, and other scripts. The Database and System Administrator will further provide program support of other applications written in PHP , Groovy, and Java and hosted on various Weblogic, Wordpress, and Liferay platforms.

Education Requirements:

Requires a minimum of a bachelor's degree in IT/Computer Science.

Experience/Qualifications Requirements:

Requires a minimum of four (4) years of experience in Database Administration that includes systems analysis, and programming with PHP , Groovy, Java, and SQL .

Preferred Qualification:

Oracle Certified Professional Preferred
