persistent shortage of technology workers is no longer just an inconvenience
for many employers – it’s quickly becoming a serious business problem.”
IT professionals are
definitely in a position of power and are demanding higher salaries. As a
result several companies are unable to hire top talent and according to Robert
Hal report 44% of CIOs indicated that they are unable to meet the salary
demands of top talent. This is undoubtedly a huge problem for these
companies.
Though companies have
attempted to circumvent this challenge by hiring temporary workers, this
strategy has not worked very well in the long run. They have to offer higher
pay and other perks to attract talent.
Are All IT Job Salaries Trending Higher?

Companies look at years of experience and also relevance of experience or type

Second is location. Cost of
living varies in different cities within United States; hence salary will be in
proportion to that. Cost of living is highest in New York – 40.5% higher than
average; San Francisco is 40% higher than average; Boston 34% and so on.
