The lack of skilled IT workers is hurting the deployment of emerging technology, according to a new survey from Gartner. In areas from cloud to cybersecurity, this crisis is expected to last for years to come.

Competition is high amongst companies to attract the most qualified and best tech professionals and to grab the best companies are not only offering excellent compensation but also unusual perks such as flexible work schedules, telecommuting, compressed work schedule – such as 4 days’ workweek, onsite gym or paid membership, regular social events and free or subsidized meals.

Reviews - Indeed users give Salesforce 4.3 out of 5 stars. It gets a 4 for compensation/benefits and culture. The environment is very quick-paced and a little stressful. At Glassdoor, Salesforce gets an identical rating: 4.3 out of 5 stars. Eighty-seven percent of reviewers say they would recommend the company to a friend, and give the interview process 3.2 stars out of five for difficulty.

Reviews: Indeed users give Adobe 4.3 out of 5 stars. It gets high marks for work/life balance (4.2) and compensation/benefits (4.2). The environment is described as quick-paced. On Glassdoor, Adobe gets 4.2 out of 5 stars. Also, 87% of reviewers would recommend the company to a friend, and interviews are about as difficult as at most of the other 14 companies.
