The Office of the Chief Data Officer (OCDO) as part of the Enterprise Data & Analytics (ED&A;) group is responsible for promoting and enabling the enterprise data & information strategy across TD. To accomplish this, the OCDO provides unified approaches, processes, tools & standards for effective data management, including data quality, metadata, data lifecycle and master data management. The OCDO works collaboratively with Business, with key stakeholders within TD's Data Steward community, and Technology groups for implementation across the organization. Effective data management supports critical business decision making, legendary customer experiences and reduces operational and reputational risk.
The Senior Business Information Management Analyst, Data Quality Management supports to the Office of the Chief Data Officer and to provides unified approaches, tools & standards for data. The Senior Analyst, Enterprise Data Quality Management works collaboratively with business segments, corporate functions and technology groups. Works independently as a senior lead and may manage and direct activities related to analysis, design and support of business data management solutions on various projects ranging up to larger projects. Must be eligible for employment under regulatory standards applicable to the position.
Expert level professional role, considered subject matter expert with in-depth knowledge / expertise in own domain / field of specialty and working knowledge of broader related areas
Supports the development and maintenance of the Enterprise Data Quality Management Framework and data metrics.
Support the maturity of data quality program focused on controls, guidance and process supporting enterprise operational, regulatory and analytics needs.
Provide guidance and subject matter advice to various Lines of Business in the use of Data Quality tools, standards and processes.
Participate or lead the development of processes and procedures to support data quality across the bank.
Requires expert level conceptual and practical knowledge for own area of specialty and knowledge of broader related areas
Works autonomously on a range of tasks and may be relied upon to coach / educate others
May lead projects of moderately to complex risk and resource requirements; may lead end-to-end processes or functional programs
In-depth experience working with very large datasets and familiarity with big data technologies
Keeps abreast of rapid business and technology innovation within business information management field
Tracks and reports on data quality initiatives across the enterprise and maintains logs of issues and escalates risks to Enterprise Data Quality Management.
Works closely with the Data Stewards ensuring that data operations in each business segment and corporate function are aligned to the Enterprise Data Quality Management Framework.
Develops strong working relationships with Business Segments, Corporate Functions, Technology, and other stakeholders to work collaboratively to promote adoption of data quality principles throughout the enterprise.
Facilitates communications between Data Stewards, custodians, information technology, and project management to ensure all parties are informed of the usage of the Enterprise Data Quality Management Framework and Toolkit and the associated monitoring processes.
Must keep up-to-date with the leading Data Quality practices in the industry.
Undergraduate degree or Technical Certificate
3-5+ years of relevant experience from a business administration, statistical, mathematical, scientific or financial background
Understand Data Management best practices in the industry and data initiatives.
In-depth knowledge of data quality management
Experience in Data Quality Assessment methodologies and Data Profiling.
Proficient knowledge of various data sources, tools and technologies used in preparing summaries and reports
Analytical and problem solving skills are required to interpret data and draw conclusions
Knowledge of current and emerging competitor and market trends
Skilled in using analytical software tools, data analysis methods and reporting techniques
Ability to communicate effectively in both oral and written form
Ability to work collaboratively and build relationships
Ability to work successfully as a member of a team and independently
Expert skills with Excel, Access and PowerPoint
Advanced skills in querying, joining, manipulating and summarizing datasets of various types
Skills in designing high-quality dashboards and performance scorecards
Ability to exercise sound judgement in making decisions
Ability to analyze, organize and prioritize work while meeting multiple deadlines
Ability to handle confidential information with discretion
Experience in SQL, ETL operations and using tools like IBM Information Analyzer, Informatica, Talend or Collibra preferred.
Knowledge of one or more data-focused programming languages such as SAS, SQL, Python, R as applied to processing data sets
Experience with Big Data environment and tools is a plus
Experience working on complex business/technology initiatives within and across multiple businesses.
Ability to thrive in a face paced, dynamic, sometimes ambiguous environment. High tolerance for the pressure of constant change and stringent timelines.
Proven record of professional interactions with senior executives, consultants, vendors, and regulatory bodies.
Experience in big data, analytics, data mapping or lineage would be an asset
