JOB DESCRIPTION: This Senior SharePoint Farm Administrator role may fulfill a lead role by providing hands on technical and analytical leadership while configuring, monitoring, and managing high- availability SharePoint Server 2013 and 2016 Farms. The successful candidate will participate in providing 24/7 coverage of the SharePoint Farms. They will provide support in enhancing the SharePoint Server Infrastructure's operation and performance. They will keep abreast of new technology developments and make recommendations regarding changes to current standards and solutions as appropriate. Participate and ensure all activities supporting DoD cyber related documentation, testing, configuration are completed within scheduled timeframe. Support and coordinate activities with DISA and the team to identify, fix and provide information regarding resolution of vulnerabilities and incidents.

Demonstrate SharePoint subject matter expertise including:

  • Well-developed knowledge of SharePoint solution architecture using SharePoint and related technologies
  • Well-developed knowledge of Microsoft SQL Server - operation, tuning, backup and recovery
  • Experience in installing and implementing Microsoft SQL BI tools, including Microsoft SQL Server Reporting Services, within a SharePoint 2013 or 2016 environment
  • Experience installing and implementing SharePoint 3rd Party Tools including Nintex Workflows
  • Establishing trusted connections and shared services between farms
  • Experience configuring and troubleshooting SharePoint search technologies
  • Creating and executing server scripts via PowerShell
  • Monitoring and managing the patching level all servers in the farm
  • Support and coordinate activities between DISA and the internal team to identify, fix and provide information for resolution of vulnerabilities and incidents
  • Configuring and troubleshooting SharePoint search technologies
  • Hands on experience with SQL, IIS/Web Server, and Windows Server including high availability and performance optimization
  • Experience with storage, network and server technologies related to SharePoint
  • Server configuration related to STIGs
  • Experience with storage analysis, feature compatibility, farm capacity planning, scalability and auditing
  • An understanding on how to use SharePoint ULS logging and Correlation ID's to be able to look up error logs

Qualifications

REQUIRED EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
  • BS Degree in IT, engineering, or related field desired
  • 7+ years of relevant work experience
  • DoD IAT Level II Certification (Security + CE)
  • At least one Microsoft Computing Environment Certification (MCTS, MCITP, MCPD, MCSA, or MCSE) is required

TECHNICAL SKILL REQUIREMENTS

  • SharePoint 2013 or 2016 server and infrastructure
  • Microsoft SQL Server, IIS, and Windows Server 2012 or above
  • RMF/NIST/STIG knowledge
  • PowerShell scripting
