Our Houston client is looking for a Solaris/Linux/Unix Administrator.

JOB DUTIES:

• Administration of various versions of Solaris OS on SPARC and Intel Servers
• Administration of various Linux versions including Red Hat and SUSE
• Supporting the Oracle Engineered systems
• Managing the SAP HANA cloud and on Premises deployments
• Patching and other security administration of all the above systems
• Participating in the on-call rotation among the team members
• Working with customers with different skill sets and taking care of Remedy tickets
• Automating tasks and deployments through tools like Ansible
• Working and negotiating with vendors
• Supporting backup and data protection for these systems
• Providing general application and server support

REQUIRED SKILLS:

• Must possess 5 years of working experience with the following:
• Expertise in various versions of Solaris OS on SPARC and Intel Servers
• Expertise in various Linux versions including Red Hat and SUSE
• Knowledge of the Oracle Engineered systems
• Knowledge and hands on experience with the SAP HANA cloud and on premises deployments
• Patching and other security administration experience of the above systems
• Ability to work with customers with different skill sets and ability to maintain high level of customer satisfaction
• Hands on experience with tools like Ansible
• Knowledge and experience of backup software like Veeam, Bacula and Networker
