The Systems Administrator – Infrastructure, as a member of IT Operations, is responsible for programming, analyzing, upgrading, implementing, monitoring, and Tier 2 support of the compute, storage infrastructure, directory services, virtualization and collaboration tools at EDF Renewables. Infrastructure and systems reside in data centers, remote offices, power generation facilities, and with public cloud providers. The Systems Administration team will work closely with the Systems Engineering team to ensure that this critical infrastructure is secure, highly available, meets the performance needs of the organization, and complies with all regulatory guidelines by which EDF Renewables is governed.

Responsibilities:
10% - Systems/Applications Integration:
- Assist in analyzing and evaluating new technologies and solutions to enable the business
- Coordinate with the team to maintain proper processes, procedures, and system documentation according to industry best practices and regulatory requirements
- Coordinate with the EDF Renewables compliance team to align IT processes with all regulatory requirements
- Assist in the maintenance of companywide disaster recovery plan as it pertains to storage retention and recovery
- Analyze monitoring solutions to notify and alert the teams of potentially issues that could impact the availability and functionality of critical systems and applications.
- Assist in the deployment of new infrastructure and application integration to support business needs
- Participate in planned maintenance activities to ensure systems are properly implemented and maintained according to best practices with as little impact to the business as possible

75% - Servers and Storage Hardware & Software Systems:
- Implement, and manage servers and storage in a virtualized and Cloud environment
- Monitor and maintain the storage hardware and software for the datacenter infrastructure
- Monitor and maintain the hardware and software for multiple domain operations
- Monitor the storage operations, disk usage, system tuning, and make recommendations for improvements
- Upgrade servers, and storage software while maintaining established standards and NERC compliance regulations
- Apply data storage, backup, and server patches and fixes
- Maintain the backup, restore, and storage infrastructure
- Ensure the company’s data is sufficiently replicated and/or backed up to meet corporate and regulatory requirements
- Provide direct support for end-users
- Provide Collaboration Services troubleshooting and support (Microsoft O365)
- Responsibilities may require evening and weekend work in response to needs of the systems being supported
10% - Network Infrastructure Services and Oversight:
- Assist in the installation of network infrastructure standardization, and plan/design server storage, VMWare, backup, and datacenter communications for all EDF Renewables locations
- Assist in performing network, hardware, and storage problem resolution
5% - Other duties as assigned

Qualifications:
Education/Experience
Requires minimum 2 years of experience supporting the implementation and administration of server and storage infrastructure on premises and cloud. Including, Microsoft directory services and messaging platforms in an enterprise environment.

Skills/Knowledge/Abilities
This role requires a foundational working knowledge of following:
• Microsoft Windows Server operating system, Exchange, and Office 365
• Microsoft Active Directory, AD Group Policy
• VMware Virtual Center, hypervisors, and management tools
• Storage arrays and Network Attached Storage (NAS) solutions
• Cisco UCS compute infrastructure, and UCS Manager software
• Avamar and Data Domain data backup solutions
• Microsoft automated patching solutions (SCCM)
• Microsoft collaboration solutions (Office 365)
• Cloud infrastructure (ie Microsoft Azure, AWS)
• SSL certificate management
• Understanding of disaster recovery principals

This role requires a familiarity of the following:
• Antivirus and antimalware solutions
• Storage Area Networks
• Networking concepts (i.e. VLANs and VLAN tagging, IP subnetting, IP routing, etc.)
• Encryption technologies (i.e. SSL, TLS, VPNs, etc.)
• Data center facilities (i.e. power, UPS, cooling, etc.)
• ITIL framework
• Storage replications technologies
• Incident management skills
• Exceptional work ethic and time management skills
• Ability to work well independently and as part of a team
• Strong communication skills and a commitment to customer service
• Ability to travel 20% of the time, and on short notice
• On call after hours is necessary for problem resolution, and project management/installations


Physical Requirements:
• Ability to lift 70 pounds

Working Conditions:
Most of the time is spent in the office and computer room environments, utilizing computers, servers, peripheral equipment, phones, and general office equipment. Up to 30% of the time may be spent installing servers, blades, chassis, cables, power supplies, and on general data center maintenance. Up to 20% of the time may be spent traveling to other EDF Renewables locations located in the US, Canada and Mexico for the purpose of project related work. Participation in 24x7 on call duties may be required as well as involvement in escalated after hours issues and planned maintenance activities. Incident management of outages is required until resolution. On call duties are handled on a rotational basis.

Fiscal Responsibilities:
Budgetary responsibilities are specific to managing costs (internal and external) associated with the project finance efforts.
